New for 2026 - The BJÖRN This Way Blog!

As the administrator/manager/performer and general dog's body of BJÖRN This Way®, I have decided to try and keep up with the trendy times by writing a blog for the band.

Hello, I'm Ainsley - AKA Frida (the darker haired girl), and also founder member of this fabulous and crazy ABBA tribute band.

Since establishing in 2009, the band has undergone a couple of name changes, and have decided to stick with BJÖRN This Way®

Originally named 'ABBA Chic' - we quickly realised that 'Chic' being constantly pronounced as 'chick' was somewhat annoying and changed the spelling to 'Chique', and so the band name for quite a while was 'ABBA Chique.'

This sorted out the mispronunciation, but - we were then told all ABBA tribute bands must cease use of the word 'ABBA' with immediate effect!

Take away the 'ABBA' and we were left with 'Chique' .... Not catchy, not sexy....not meaningful. I lost all enthusiasm for social media posting after that. Time for change.

So, starting on 1st January 2026–17 years in - comes BJÖRN This Way® and this name will stay!!

This has been my first ever attempt at blogging, and I will be back at it again soon if you want to come visit another time.

I'll be posting band news, upcoming gigs and the usual showbizzy stuff that goes on behind the scenes of a busy ABBA tribute band!
