THE STORY
From ABBA Chic to BJÖRN This Way
2009 — ABBA Chic begins
The story of BJÖRN This Way® began in 2009, when Ainsley and Perry created a new ABBA tribute under the name ABBA Chic.
Ainsley performed as Frida, Perry as Björn on guitar and vocals, and Leanna as Agnetha — forming the original core of the show.
Together they set out to create an energetic live production combining strong vocals, harmonies, musicianship, costumes, choreography and audience interaction.

2016 — Georgie joins
In 2016, Georgie joined the show to share the role of Agnetha with Leanna, adding further flexibility to the line-up as ABBA Chique continued to grow.
The show develops
Roger later joined as Benny, becoming a mainstay of the line-up on keyboards and an important part of the band's live sound alongside Ainsley and Perry.

From ABBA Chic to ABBA Chique
As the show developed, ABBA Chic became ABBA Chique, the name under which the band would establish its reputation with audiences, venues and event organisers across the UK and Europe.
The repertoire expanded, the production grew and different line-ups were introduced, allowing ABBA Chique to perform everywhere from private celebrations and smaller venues to theatres, festivals and major outdoor events.

Growing Audiences and International Performances
Over the years, ABBA Chique performed for audiences ranging from intimate gatherings to crowds of more than 15,000 people.
The band appeared at festivals, theatres, corporate events, holiday venues, weddings, clubs, village halls, private celebrations and large-scale outdoor events.

Estonia and Switzerland became particularly important parts of the band's story, with a succession of sell-out tours and repeat visits building loyal audiences overseas.

The production expands
As demand increased, the production expanded too. Different formats were developed to suit a wide range of events, with live drums and bass joining guitar and keyboards for the larger productions.

2026 - A New Chapter

In 2026, professional vocalist and dancer Abygail joined Leanna and Georgie in sharing the role of Agnetha, bringing extensive live performance, touring, dance and screen experience to the show.
With Ainsley as Frida, Abygail as Agnetha, Perry as Björn and Roger as Benny, the line-up brought together the band's founders, long-standing performers and a new generation of the show.
ABBA Chique becomes BJÖRN This Way
After 17 years, ABBA Chique became BJÖRN This Way.
The rebrand was not the creation of a new band, but the next stage in the development of the show first established as ABBA Chic in 2009.
The new identity reflected how much the production had grown while giving the band a distinctive identity for the future.
Then & Now

Ainsley and Leanna were part of the show from the very beginning in 2009, providing a direct visual link between the earliest days of ABBA Chic and the band's continuing story.
The Story Continues
Today, BJÖRN This Way carries forward a history stretching back to 2009, with performances throughout the UK and Europe, sell-out international tours and audiences of up to 15,000+.
Performers and line-ups have developed over the years, but the show remains part of one continuous journey.
